Screen capture from Apple's App Store.
Shortly after releasing the app, it started to create buzz by being featured on TV without any paid media at all. It was great to see it start making the rounds in local morning shows all over the country. This excerpt is from a local news morning show in Sacramento, CA.
Quick little video demo of how the app works. The numbers you see, are the time the alarm is set to. In this sample, it’s 7:00, and the user goes to sleep at 10:32
We didn't sell Fred O'Clock for a billion dollars to Facebook or anything like that, but we felt like a million bucks. Thousands of people downloaded it, liked it and used it. The app became moderately popular around the world and it was great seeing people reviewing it in languages we couldn't understand. This video here, is from an Albanian news channel's tech review section. I have no idea what they're saying, but it's probably good because the guy's last words are "App of the Day".
NOTE: We recently pulled the app from the App Store because other commitments were keeping us from constantly upgrading the app. Hopefully we’ll retake this again in the future. I still have the app on my phone if you ever want to see it.
